Club Burleigh

Case Study

Adam WienckeGeneral Manager

Taking a fresh approach to the club experience, Club Burleigh offers bar and dining facilities, entertainment, functions and a gaming lounge including 50 poker machines.

On July 1, HCS implemented a management agreement with Club Burleigh, a newly licensed facility on the southern Gold Coast beaches. Club Burleigh, after less than 18 months of trading was within days of closure following losses of over $2 million in its first year of trading as a stand alone venue.

A new Management agreement was negotiated. Significant funds were loaned by HCS to pay out an exhaustive list of creditors, leaving HCS Management the enormous task of undertaking a comprehensive business restructure.

The Club experienced an immediate turnaround in business performance and revenue growth.

Club Burleigh is now recognised as the home of the famous Burleigh Boardriders and has established itself as a great local venue to watch live sport while enjoying excellent food and service.

Community Involvement

Club Burleigh is home to the famous Burleigh Boardriders and Burleigh Hockey Club.

Club Burleigh also proudly provides a safe and welcoming environment for locals and visitors alike to gather with friends, family and colleagues. They also welcome bookings from business associations and community group meetings.

Working closely with schools and other community groups, Club Burleigh consistently identifies opportunities to support local needs through the Club B Community Grants Program. They also work closely with local high schools, offering school-based hospitality traineeships for students.
