Tony brings a wealth of experience and success in multi-site management roles, and has an impressive background as a hospitality professional, and is well respected within the industry.

Tony’s appointment brings us great pleasure to bring a Goodna local raised boy home! Tony was born and raised in the areas of Goodna and Gailes, during a time when they still retained much of their rural character before the amalgamation of Brisbane and Ipswich. He attended Goodna State School and had the privilege of being part of the Woogaroo Swimming Club for a span of 6 years, right from its inception.

This club was established within the state school by a teacher named Serge Ruggieri. Additionally, Tony took part in playing rugby for the Goodna Eagles. His father, Maurie, worked as a local accountant and tax agent in the Goodna community. He was deeply engaged with the early stages of the Goodna RSL and played a pivotal role in the establishment and operationalization of its original licensed venue on Brisbane Terrace. It was within that very Club that Tony had my first legal drink, shared with his father as he celebrated his 18th birthday.

On that special occasion, Tony also had the honour of reciting the ode at 5pm, a moment truly cherished.
